New this year! Expanded parking opportunities. The Thomasville parking lot will be open for Festival-goers. We will have a shuttle running from the lot to the Festival!
Unfortunately, the Joel Sweeney 5k & Youth mile has been cancelled due to a lack of participants...
We have a lot of exciting things going on this year. Starting with some great music!

He will be performing on the Main Street Stage at 2:00 & 4:00 on Saturday
We're celebrating with the return of the Street Dance on Saturday night!
Congratulations to the recipients of the 2017 Historic Appomattox Railroad Festival Scholarships!
One $2000 scholarship was awarded to graduating seniors from each of the Appomattox County schools. They were chosen to receive this year's scholarships based on outstanding community service.
This year's recipients are:
- Noah Torrence from Appomattox Christian Academy.
- Kierra Burrell from Appomattox County High School
- also, Logan Houts from Cornerstone Christian Academy.
The Historic Appomattox Railroad Festival Board of Directors thanks all the committee chairmen and members for their year round dedication to the Festival planning. The Festival just doesn't happen overnight or by itself.
